Quentin Roger is an upcoming maker in the filed between Theatre and Dance. He is now developing his own methodology for expression. Moves & Tales, telling stories through moving bodies, is the platform that shares his work to the world, inviting everyone to travel to an emotional place within themselves.
Quentin spent most of his life into movement, focusing on his carrier as a dancer. Intuitively, his practice is very theatrical, and his cinematographic eye brings another medium at the core of his work. Film being a constant within Quentin’s art, he uses it as a way to expand his visibility, as well as bringing depth to his topics.
Being born in France, he passed by the international school Rosella Hightower and graduated from Paris Opera as a ballet dancer. He first joined some renowned modern companies such as Grand Théâtre de Genève, Compañia Nacional de Danza, and the Netherland Dance Theatre.
After leaving NDT, Quentin freelanced around Europe and started developing his own style of teaching focused on improvisation. Now, aside from leading his own creative projects, he also works with Codarts Rotterdam as guest Ballet Master for their bachelor program, and as Stager for the Swedish choreographer Johan Inger.
More Recently, Quentin started to invest into music, mixing and composing. As a tool for his own creative process, but also another way of expressing himself when collaborating. Check his Soundcloud
